The working groups are intended to be a forum for cooperation and participation. Participants represent the interests and views of MCF member organizations from different departments which happen to have a vested interest in the results of the Working Group.
Current working groups:
Finance Group
The Finance Group was set up in February 2009 to share experience on existing Financial Regulatory Systems. The Finance Group also liaises with the Charity Commission, Banking Institutions and other relevant actors. The Group is open to all MCF members and meets approximately every 3 months.
Zakat Group
The Zakat Group was set up in November 2009 to discuss and try to develop a common approach on the issue of Zakat in relation to emergency, relief and development activities. The Group is open to all MCF members and observers, and meets on a regular basis.
