Muslim Charities Forum is appalled by the recent rise in antisemitic attacks across the UK and stands in solidarity with members of the Jewish faith.

In the context of rising faith-based hate crime, Muslim communities stand with deep empathy. When mosques and synagogues are targeted, and anti-Muslim hate crime is increasing alongside antisemitism, insecurity becomes a pervasive lived reality for many, with individuals feeling unable to go about daily life without fear of being targeted.

Such attacks seek to undermine the cohesion of our communities and the rich diversity of faiths we cherish. Members of faith communities must never be concerned about their security when attending places of worship, being discriminated against or targeted because of their religious identity.

Fadi Itani, CEO of Muslim Charities Forum said:

“We must stand unequivocally against all forms of hate, prioritise the safety of every community, and insist on responsible, informed, and compassionate public discourse to protect the fabric of our shared society.”

Now more than ever, MCF calls for political, faith, and community leaders across all backgrounds stand together in rejecting hate in all its forms, promoting unity through our diversity. The erosion of public peace and social harmony carries consequences for all, and such outcomes must not be accepted as inevitable.
