Through our network, we aim to empower and uplift the British Muslim charitable sector, meeting the growing needs of marginalised people within Civil Society.  With relationship-building, resources and mutual learning, our collective voices come together to build cohesion, tackling racial inequality and systemic discrimination for a stronger, brighter future for all.

FAQs

Is MCF only for large international NGO’s?

No, the network is open to all – from grassroots community organisations to large charities, working across the UK or internationally.

Who makes the decisions about what MCF does?

MCF is governed by our Board of Trustees. They direct our work based upon their extensive and unique experiences working in the sector.  We are a ‘By-and-For’ organisation, meaning we are led by our network needs. We also consult with a range of community and mainstream members, partners and stakeholders.

How is MCF governed?

Our Board of Trustees oversees the strategic direction for MCF: they are the guardians of MCF’s purpose and are ultimately accountable for the organisation.

What is the benefit for my small charity?

By joining us you can connect with a network of other Muslim-led charities and grassroots community groups based in the UK. You will be able to access resources to support a range of areas such as governance, safeguarding or finance, as well as attend events or workshops on some of the most pressing issues impacting the sector.

What is the benefit to large charities?

As a larger charity, you can become involved in high-level discussion that can inform the sector as well as access resources, training and exclusive events.

Our charity only operates locally in our city, should we still join?

Yes! We would love to have you on board. Local, regional or national charities and community organisations re welcome to join us.
