Carter Ruck – Defamation and Crisis Communications Training Seminar
MCF partnered with Carter Ruck, the the leading law firm specialising in litigation and dispute resolution to offer our members a unique training seminar. Attendees gained an understanding of the law on defamation, the key processes organisations should have in place to manage a speedy and coordinated response, as well as looking at case studies to unpick learning. Adam Tudor, Partner and Helena Shipman, Senior Associate at Carter Ruck delivered the training and were available to answer questions. Carter Ruck is ranked Tier 1 for Reputation Management in The Legal500 tables, well placed to offer specialist advice to MCF members. MCF seeks to continue its partnership with leading institutions to offer our members relevant, specialist, high-level training to build their capacities.
The second part of the training provided members with an intro to Crisis Communication Management, delivered by Islamic Relief Worldwide. The key principles of how Muslim charities should respond should a crisis arise was outlined, with guidance on the internal processes required to ensure an efficient and timely response is in place.
