We are delighted to announce that our CEO Fadi Itani has been awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List published on Friday 11th June 2021. Fadi received the OBE for his services to Charity and Interfaith Relations during COVID-19.
“Alhamdulillah, I am so pleased to have got recognition, it is an acknowledgment for great work of many of the teams, volunteers and members, grassroots groups I worked with and the communities I served in the last three decades” said Fadi.
“It is really nice to be recognised this way. It is a reminder about the importance of appreciating the positive and good work and celebrating the diversity of Britain”
The work of Fadi and the MCF team over the last 18 months has included responding on a local and national level, supporting and responding to over 300 organisations delivering emergency aid to those most affected by Covid19. By connecting grassroots groups to share resources, improving funding access and increasing capacity, MCF has been lead by Fadi in vital work to support charities in easing the suffering of those in need. The whole team are delighted for this well-deserved recognition for Fadi who has gone above and beyond in this and the last 30 years of his charitable work.
