Covid19 has changed the charity landscape, forcing many charities to diversify their income streams in a bid for survival.
We recognise the need, now more than ever, for charities and grassroots community organisations to be able to access grant funding to support core costs and vital project work. Securing grant funding can ensure that these charities can continue providing essential aid to whole communities and those isolated and vulnerable. Our report ‘The Neighbours Next Door‘ highlighted that just 16% of UK Muslim-led charities had successfully secured grant funding since Covid19 began.
One of the barriers that many charities experience is the need for better understanding of the grant funding process and how to apply.
To provide charities with support in improving their grant application skills, we have produced a grant funding guide ‘Writing A Successful Grant Application‘ with a focus on Community Foundations. We are delighted to have the support of UK Community Foundations (UKCF) and The London Community Foundation (LCF) in our efforts to support more charities in applying for funding and tackling the obstacles which prevent this.
