Shan Hassam is the Group Managing Director of MSA Global Holdings, a leading pharmaceutical group. He has been the youngest Assistant Secretary General, the youngest Executive Councillor and the youngest Secretary General for The World Federation and has amazingly spearheaded the exceptional rescue of 450 Khoja refugees from war-torn Yemen. He spends a lot of spare time in charity work including the General Secretary of World Federation KSIMC.

Tufail Hussain is the current Interim Director of Islamic Relief UK and has over 10 years’ experience in the humanitarian sector, leading on numerous campaigns for international development and humanitarian agencies. Tufail has travelled around the world raising awareness of major emergencies such as the Syrian crisis and Pakistan floods. He was previously CEO at a leading charity specialising in helping vulnerable children which supports thousands of children around the world and has held senior roles at several organisations with a good reputation of helping them to grow income exponentially.

Shuaib Yusaf is CEO of the Al- Khair Foundation, one of the foremost international disaster relief NGOs and Trustee of Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre. Shuaib’s background is rooted in the UK Life and Pensions sector as well as being active in many community matters holding positions including that of the IAG and previously, Faiths Together in Croydon. He is also a qualified insurance professional and has worked in leading financial and business services for international organisations.

Syed Lakhte Hassanain is Chairman of Muslim Hands International and is well known for his contributions to the vulnerable and needy across the globe. He established Muslim Hands in response to the devastating Bosnian war which started with a small group of volunteers and through great leadership, Muslim Hands encompasses over 50 countries on projects from disaster relief to education. Syed has been honored for his outstanding contributions and has been given various awards for his services to humanity and The UK Power 100 listed him as one of the most influential Muslims in the UK.

Dr Hany El-Banna is the co-founder and President of Islamic Relief, the largest Western-based international Muslim relief and development NGO. Established in 1984, the organization provides assistance in over 30 countries worldwide. Islamic Relief has also been active in signing a memorandum of understanding with the African Union to tackle poverty on the continent. Dr El- Banna is still an active leader in the Muslim charity sector as chairman of the Muslim Charities Forum, Zakat House and president of The Humanitarian Forum. Dr El- Banna has been awarded a number of prestigious awards receiving various lifetime achievement awards and being awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth for his services to the community.
