Sudan Briefing – March 2026

Sudan is facing an escalating humanitarian catastrophe. INGOs operating on the ground, including MCF member organisations, remain overstretched, underfunded, and facing persistent challenges that hinder their ability to deliver life-saving assistance.

This briefing has been prepared by gathering insights from Muslim-led INGOs that are active in Sudan and have staff based in the country, as well as UK staff who travel there regularly. It outlines current activities, challenges, and urgent actions required from the Government to ensure humanitarian access, adequate funding, and progress towards a lasting peace.
