Rizwan leads Funders In Good, a new Muslim venture philanthropy fund. The organization offers tailored financial and strategic support to social ventures, increasing their long-term impact. Their vision is a society flourishing with commitment to God, supported by effective social ventures. Previously, as Director of Services at National Zakat Foundation, Rizwan was responsible for designing and delivering a £5m grant-making program for destitute families across the UK. He ensures efficiency, impact, and effective performance demonstration. Rizwan’s strengths lie in innovative intervention design and collaborative teamwork. He values clear strategic vision and aligned values, with a keen interest in measuring and showcasing impact to stakeholders. Rizwan enjoys working and leading cross-disciplinary teams for continuous learning. With over 10 years of experience empowering disadvantaged communities in economic empowerment, education, and skills across private, public, and social sectors, he brings significant expertise at a strategic level. Rizwan holds a BSc in Network Computing from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in Grantmaking, Philanthropy, and Social Investment from Cass Business School. Additionally, his certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner enables the introduction of Agile project management methodologies into his work.
