Bridges of Hope, our ground-breaking research report into the sector, launched at The House of Commons on the 4th July, in partnership with APPG. Read More

Muslim social action organisations play a key role in British society with an impressive track record of supporting their local communities, but such amazing work across the UK may not make it to mainstream media outlets.

Our Bridges of Hope report demonstrates the important role British Muslim social action organisations play in society, their diversity in terms of the different people they serve and the different work they specialise in and the geographical coverage.

This humble attempt to document some of the work of British Muslim social action is vital not just for recording our own history but also for giving the wider public a greater insight into the positive impact that Muslims are making today. Supported by Barrow Cadbury Trust, Bridges of Hope brings together 12 months of unique research into the scale, spread and diversity of the British Muslim-led sector as well as the challenges and struggles experienced by those who give so much to those in need.

On Monday 4th July 2022, we were delighted to launch our report at The House of Commons, in partnership with The All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims.

Over 80 colleagues from across the charity sector, plus partners and supporters joined us for the launch where we heard from key figures about the report findings and their own personal reflections. We were also honoured to hear accounts from those at the forefront of aid delivery within the UK and whose experiences are reflected in our findings.
