The Rt. Hon Stuart Andrew has been announced as the new Minister for Civil Society according to the Department of Culture, Media and Support (DCMS), picking up the role from his predecessor Professor Lord Syed Kamall. He is currently MP for Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough.  

His role entails a series of responsibilities such as civil society and loneliness, equalities, sport, tourism, youth, arts and heritage in the House of Commons. Additionally, Andrew will be responsible for ceremonials such as the Coronation of King Charles III as well as other events such as Eurovision.

The Yorkshire MP has a deep passion for politics and is proactive in his local community.

Stuart has a strong background in the third sector, having joined British Heart Foundation in 1994, the Hope House Children’s Hospice and East Lancashire Hospice and as Fundraising Manager at Martin House Children’s Hospice. He also played an active role in All Parliamentary Groups on issues such as Heart Disease, Islamophobia and Children Who Need Palliative Care.
